1. How deep should the back box be to install the dimmer?

It should be at least 25mm.

2. Can I use more than one dimmer to control the same circuit/bulbs?

No, this is a two-way dimmer, designed to work with a standard on/off switch.

To control the same circuit/bulbs with multiple dimmers, please check our multi-way dimmer switch here.

3. Does it require a netural wire?

No.

4. Will a 2-gang dimmer fit into a standard back box, or is it too wide?

Each module has a tapered design near the screw holes, allowing it to fit neatly into standard back boxes and making installation very straightforward.

What Your Neighbours Say

I originally bought these to put in my cottages, you know, to give the whole place a bit more class and make it easier to rent out. But once I’d got them installed, I realised I absolutely love these fancy little things – now I’ve gone and fitted a set in my own house too!

1 gang brass dimmer - 250W

I’ve only gone and bought one brass dimmer switch so far, and if it’s still working a treat after a month, I’ll be getting more, no doubt about it. I’m absolutely fed up with those cheap ones – they always start playing up with all sorts of issues after a bit!

Honestly, I did a bit of shopping around before buying, but their customer service was always lightning-fast with replies, while some other websites just fobbed me off with robotic AI responses.

I’ve always just used those white plastic switches and sockets, never thought there was anything wrong with them. But my electrician was like, “If you’re doing up your new place, why not make it a bit more posh?” Well, now my house is kitted out with these things, and honestly, they look pretty decent!

I got lucky living close to their warehouse – they actually hand-delivered my order the same day it was placed! Big thanks for that!

These are better than I expected. They feel really solid and weighty in your hand. It’s just a shame there aren’t any matching sockets.
